Sharon Balzan graduated from the University of Birmingham in ‘Masters in Education’ specialization in Severe Profound Multiple Learning Disabilities (Qualitative methodology) Main tools used are interviews, observations and journal. She specialized in Autism and Intellectual Impairment. Sharon is passionate in supporting students with Autism. In fact, she is an activity leader with Autism Parents Association. She also graduated in ‘Masters in Research Methods ‘from The Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology, where she developed an in -depth research  of students with high functioning autism, the main challenges they face while looking for apprenticeship/work placement.

She also finalized a PgDip in Research Methods where she focused in a Qualitative methodology, using thematic analysis and analysis of the narrative.   She also graduated from University of Malta in Inclusive Education. She has worked as a researcher at MCAST and as a Social Emotional Behavioural Difficulties specialist within the education department. Presently she is working as a primary teacher. She has also worked as Learning Support Educator.
