Henriette Saliba

Lecturing Sectors: Health & Social Care

Henriette Saliba Balzan graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Sports from the University of Malta in 2015 and has since been working as a physical education teacher in Primary schools. Throughout her teaching experience, she has also spent some years coaching different sport disciplines such as football, basketball and swimming with local sports clubs. Additionally, she has graduated from the University of Roehampton with a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Management in 2020, while focusing on understanding Kindergarten educators’ perspective on play in the early years. She values the importance of continuous professional development especially in the teaching career and has participated in a number of courses and seminars locally and abroad. A valuable experience in her career was participating in a one week Teacher training course on inclusive schools culture with the Pestalozzi community in Estonia. She enjoys spending time in nature especially with her family as she truly beliefs that nature is a remarkable learning experience for young children. She joined the Learning Works community in 2020 and forms part of a professional team that delivers the MQF Level 4 Award in Childcare.
