Mr. Matthew Vassallo graduated with a B.Sc (hons) in Nursing Studies from the University of Malta in 2012. 

After completing his undergraduate studies, he worked in an acute hospital setting for eight and a half years and has experience in cardiology and haemodialysis. 

In 2020, he assumed the position of Lead Nurse within one of the Facilities operated by Care Malta Group, enriching his experience in geriatric care and management. 

After obtaining a Master of Arts in Family Studies from the Faculty for Social Wellbeing at the University of Malta, he enrolled in Doctoral studies within the same faculty focusing on psychosocial interventions aimed at affected others of problem gambling.
