Dr. Julian Zarb is presently Chair of the Malta Tourism Society; Board Director and Editor with the Tourism Society (UK); a Postgraduate Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and Chair of the Institute of Hospitality Mediterranean Branch. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Place Management (UK) and one of the Experts for the High Street Task Force (UK). He completed his doctorate with the University of South Wales focussing on communities and local tourism planning. He is a freelance tourism journalist and media presenter and was awarded the honour of Tourism Journalist of the Year by the Ministry for Tourism in 2000 and 2003.
