Mr. Matt Psaila has a solid academic background, including CIPD Level 7 and currently pursuing a master’s degree in Creativity and Innovation at the University of Malta. He also holds a Diploma in Sports Psychology. Over the past 15 years, he gained valuable experience in HR and People Development across diverse industries in Malta and the UK. As a consultant, he had the privilege of assisting various local SMEs. Sports have been a lifelong passion, starting from his early years when he achieved a PE O Level and represented Malta in Handball in junior and senior levels. He also taken on managerial roles, such as serving as Team Manager and Treasurer for Pieta Hotspurs FC in the Premier League, as well as Team Manager for Zebbug Rangers FC in the First Division. Notably, during his time as Team Manager for Birkirkara FC, the team reached the 3rd qualification round of a prestigious European Competition. Currently, he proudly serves as the Team Manager for the National U21 Team within the Malta Football Association, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to sports management. Previously also supported the Malta Handball Association as their Director of HR and also held the position of General Secretary.
Professionally he is currently working with a leader in the hospitality industry in the role of an Area Director of HR.
