Lecturing Sectors: Health & Social Care

I am a Counselling Psychology practitioner and have been practicing in the area of psychological well-being and mental health for the past seven years. I graduated with a B.Psy (Hons.) (Melit.) degree from the University of Malta. I then pursued an MSc in Psychological Wellbeing and Mental Health from Nottingham Trent Univeristy, UK, and continued to further my career by successfully completing my M.Psy (Couns.) (Melit.) course at the University of Malta. My specific interest in the area of Eating Disorders began around five years ago and I have since then practiced in this area under specialized supervision. I have also carried out three dissertation projects on the subject. Furthermore, I have experience in working therapeutically with adolescents and adults who are experiencing a range of other mental health difficulties. These particularly include substance abuse disorders, mood disorders, trauma, abuse, grief, loss and bereavement, self-esteem issues, and behavioral and cognitive difficulties. As a psychology practitioner, I also conduct psychological assessments in my work.
